Q. As the customer, how do you pay me?
A. We pay cash on the spot or check if you prefer.
Q. How can you pay me more than others?
A. We have designed this business to be as cost efficient as posible so we can pass those savings on to our customers. We believe in treating people right and
giving them the best deal we can. Medford is a small town and word gets around. We count on our customers having a great experience that they will in turn tell there friends and family by means of
free word of mouth advertising.
Q. What if I'm not sure my jewelry is real or just costume jewelry?
A. If you are not sure we will be more than happy to test it for you so you can make the decision on what you wish to do with it. Almost daily we shock
someone, something they thought was just junk turns out to be worth a lot.
Q. Does it cost anything for an appraisal?
A. Not at all. We give a free verbal appraisal with no obligation to sell.
Q. How will you test my items?
A. We have several ways to test including the traditional acid testing and also a non-abrasive stain free electronic testing. We will never stain or file into
an item untill you have made the decision that you would like to sell it.
Q. What if my item has stones and diamonds in it?
A. We also will pay you for any diamonds that are in your piece. We do not buy colored stones and can give them back to you at your request.
Q. How much do you pay for diamonds.
A. Diamonds are not like gold that is on the stock market, there are many different factors like cut, color, clarity, and carat weight. We have to see the diamonds
before we can offer a fair price. If you have a diamond over .40 points or nearly 1/2 a carat or higher with an appraisal or certification that has the information on the stone, we can give you
a quote over the phone, but we will still need to see the diamond in person to make a final decision.
Q. What is the difference in 10k-24k gold?
A.10k gold is 41.7% gold, 14k is 58.3% gold or if marked .585 or 14kp it is 58.5% gold, 18kt is 75% gold, 22K is 91.6% gold and 24k is pure gold.
Q. What is the difference between .999 silver and sterling silver?
A. Sterling silver is marked sterling or .925 as you may already know but .999 is pure silver and sterling or .925 is only 92.5% silver. Other silvers from europe
and other foreign countries can be marked .800 which is 80% silver and .835 which of course is 83.5% silver.
Q. How can I check what my precious metals are worth so I am informed?
A. It is always best to know what you have before you sell it. Here is a link to one of my favorite websites that will show you the live gold price and the second
link is a precious metals calculator which will allow you to see what we would pay. For example, if you are selling 14k gold just put in the purity, the gram weight, and for percentage put
Q. What do I need to sell.
A. You must be 18 years of age and provide a valid form of identification (Current drivers licence or state issued Id card, US passport or an Id card issued by the
United States). Please note all items are reported to the Medford Police and Sheriffs office. In the event you are selling stolen merchandise, you will get caught and we will prosecute.
Q. Are you a licenced precious metals buyer?
A. Yes. In the state of OR it is law that any buyer of second hand merchandise has a city, state, and privileged business licence from the Medford Police Dept
that requires you to go through a FBI backround check. Anyone not licenced is making an illegal purchase and is more than likely a scammer.
